If there was ever a night to prove that women are dominating music, the 2025 Grammys was it. From history-making wins to powerhouse performances, the night belonged to female artists. For this post, we gathered some of our favorite outfits and artists, highlighting how the work and talent of incredible women are shaping today’s music industry.
Besides Kendrick Lamar’s wins, women completely dominated the categories announced during Saturday night’s award ceremony. It felt like a true celebration of the impact women have had on music over the past few years. Seeing the main pop girls not only topping our playlists but also taking center stage at the Grammys felt like a long-overdue shift.
And women in music are making an impact in tangible ways. A 2024 study from the USC Annenberg Inclusion Initiative found that women are making strides in closing the gender gap in the industry. The shift has been a long time coming, especially considering that just a few years ago, in 2018, then-Grammys president Neil Portnow dismissed concerns about female representation in the awards by saying women needed to “step up.” The backlash to those comments sparked major changes in the Recording Academy, and now, the numbers—and the talent—speak for themselves.
This year, Beyoncé made history as the first Black woman to ever win best country album for Cowboy Carter. More than just a win, it was a statement—challenging the traditional boundaries of genre and reclaiming the long-overlooked influence of Black artists in country music. Her success continues to inspire women to take up space in places they’ve historically been excluded from and to do so unapologetically.
Sabrina Carpenter earned her first two Grammy awards, winning Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Pop Solo Performance. Sabrina brings a mix of fun, confidence, and emotion to her music, and that’s what makes her so inspiring. She’s proof that women can be whatever they want to be—playful, vulnerable, confident, and completely themselves. She also performed her hit songs, “Espresso” and “Please, Please, Please.”
Charli XCX also delivered an unforgettable performance and also made a real impact by donating part of the show’s earnings to a domestic violence cause. Her music often embodies themes of empowerment, independence and playfulness. Through her lyrics, music videos, and overall public persona she challenges and encourages women to embrace their individuality and strive to be the best. She performed two of her hit songs at the Grammys “Von Dutch” and “Guess”.
At the 2025 Grammy Awards, Olivia Rodrigo captivated audiences with her classic glam appearance and poised demeanor. During the ceremony, Rodrigo presented Chappell Roans performance, showcasing her support for fellow artists. Her ability to turn raw emotions into powerful anthems speaks to the universal experiences of vulnerability and resilience, allowing listeners, especially young women, to feel seen and understood.

Paris Hilton had a glamorous look at the 2025 Grammys and wore a sheer golden gown by Chrome Hearts. During the red carpet interview, Hilton discussed her recovery from the California wildfires and emphasized the importance of finding joy amidst challenges. Paris is known for embracing her own brand of success and independence, paving the way for women to build careers in the entertainment industry and beyond. She's used her platform to promote the idea of women being in control of their own narratives and celebrating individuality.
Cynthia Erivo continues to make waves at the Grammys—earning two nominations this year—Best Song Written For Visual Media for her powerful anthem Stand Up and Best Musical Theater Album for The Color Purple. More than just an award-winning performer, Erivo is a force of empowerment, using her voice to uplift women around her and celebrate resilience. Her role as Elphaba in Wicked reflects her commitment to inspiring women to own their voices, embrace their individuality, and write their own stories.
Taylor Swift was nominated for 6 Grammy awards, including Song of the Year, Record of the Year, and Best Music Video for her collaboration with Post Malone. Taylor presented the award for Best Country Album where she took the stage to honor the achievements of country music artists including Beyoncé. Whether it’s speaking out against sexism in the music industry or using her platform to support other women, Taylor consistently uplifts and amplifies the voices of her fellow women. Her ability to navigate the challenges of fame, stay true to her values, and lift other women up is a key part of how she empowers women.
