Welcome to Palm Chic!

My name is Reese Goodwin and I started this blog in 2025 to highlight fashion-focused female entrepreneurs in my community. 

​

Growing up in Palm Beach, I’ve spent my life surrounded by stylish boutiques and brands. As I got older, I started to think more about the business side of fashion; I wanted to know more about what goes on behind the scenes to make this industry work. Why are some designers more successful than others? What makes a trend catch on? I started interviewing local founders and creatives to learn more about style, entrepreneurship, and the women influencing Palm Beach culture.

This past spring, I interviewed Ashley Brown, who founded the Selfless Love Foundation, and that conversation changed how I thought about the blog. Ashley uses her entrepreneurial skills and instincts to run her nonprofit, which is dedicated to improving the child welfare system and advocating for foster care youth. In addition to writing about trends and local businesses, I was inspired to incorporate a strong philanthropy element to the articles I write.

Today, I’m working on growing Palm Chic from a fashion blog into a fashion-and-impact platform. I still interview women founders, designers, artists, and entrepreneurs, but I’m using  those stories as a way to connect people, ideas, and resources to specific needs in the community. I’m focusing particularly on companies and organizations that find ways to combine my joint interests of fashion and philanthropy.

I’m also working to find ways to make Palm Chic itself into an agent for charitable causes. Through collaborations with businesses and change-makers in my community, my goal is to make this blog into a tool for change. Stay tuned to learn about future events and initiatives!
